Michelle & Brad - Engaged

Michelle & Brad were so fun to photograph! It was my first time meeting them, but we clicked right away! I also knew I liked Michelle cause she has excellent taste in wedding venues. We are getting married at the same place. ;) I can't wait to capture their special day in September! :)

Tim & Bethany - Engaged

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is I always get to go to awesome places. I mean, think about it, no one wants to take photos in an un-interesting place or of un-interesting things! Being a photographer I have the privelege of photographing the exciting, the unusual and the beautiful. I always love it when couples have some kind of unique vision for their enagement photos. I was thrilled when Tim and Bethany told me they wanted to do their photos at Salvation Mountain, a place that i've been wanting to visit for years! It was a 3 hour trek from Orange County to get there, and a 6.5 hour drive home to Fresno, but it was definitely worth it! Salvation Mountain is a giant art installation in Niland, CA just a few miles from the Salton Sea. A man named Leonard Knight built it using straw, adobe, and tons of paint! It's strangely beautiful and is a hidden gem out in the middle of 108 degree nowhere! I'm so glad we got to explore Salvation Mountain and take some engagement photos while doing it! It was quite an adventure! 

Andrew & Allegra - Engaged

This engagement shoot means A LOT to me! Andrew has been my friend since kindergarten. We've gone through every stage of life together, from t.p.ing each other's houses, to graduating from the same high school, to now both getting married within a month of each other! I am SO excited for him and Allegra! It brings me SO much joy to see how in love the two are! They met at Forest Home, a Christian camp in Southern California, so we decided to do some of their engagement photos on top of the water towers where they first held hands! We also adventured to downtown LA and Redlands on our way there. My fiance Spenser got to come along and help out too! It was a blast hanging out and double dating with Allegra and Andrew all day long, taking photos and spending the whole day together can hardly be considered work! I loved having Spenser there to help me set up shots and shoot along side me using a 35mm film camera! It was all around a great day, and I think the photos convey that pretty accurately! :)

Justin & Marissa - Engaged

This engagement session went a little differently than planned, but it turned out to be great! The original plan was to go to Los Olivos to take photos in a lavender field. However, when we got there, despite what the owner of the fields had told us, the lavender wasn't quite in bloom to our liking yet. Luckily San Luis Obispo and Cayucos were near by! SLO has all kinds of fun coffee shops and Marissa and Justin happen to have a love for donuts + coffee (who doesn't?!) so we incorporated that into their session. After SLO we headed to Cayucos where Marissa and Justin got engaged! I had a great time spending the day getting to know them better, and I can't wait for their wedding in September!
